Petrie/Strathpine - UNDERWAY
The Department of Main Roads is undertaking resurfacing works on Gympie Road between South Pine River Bridge at Strathpine and Wyllie Park at Petrie. The improvements being delivered are:
resurfacing the road to improve driving conditions for motorists
widening the road shoulder to improve traffic flow through the area
Works are scheduled to commence on 10 November 2008 and are expected to be completed by the end of June 2009, weather permitting. Works will take place overnight between 7:00pm and 5:00am, Monday to Friday. To avoid congestion during late night shopping on Thursdays, no work will be carried out between Buckby Street and South Pine Road before 9:30pm.
Traffic delays may occur due to lane closures and reduced speed limits through the work site. Main Roads will make every effort to keep disruptions to a minimum and apologises for any inconvenience. RoadTek will be carrying out the works on behalf of Main Roads. Please slow down p road safety is your responsibility too.
